Obituary of Kenneth F. Thoman

Kenneth F. Thoman, age 89, a resident of Trumbull for 48 years, passed away on December 18, 2014. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII, having served in the South Pacific as a crew member of Navy PB4Y1 (B24). He worked as a Flight Engineer for American Airlines for 41 years and also was an active Boy Scout parent and leader for 40 years, with Troop 28 Wenham Mass and Troop 65 Trumbull. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, hiking and fishing either with his sons, with the Scouts or even alone. Survivors include his wife Louise, his three sons, Mark and his wife Nancy, Paul and his wife Kathy and David and his wife Andrea, and five grandchildren Julie, KC, Wesley, Kyle and Seth. Friends may greet the family at a Memorial Gathering on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 28, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. No flowers please, but memorial contributions may be made to the International Institute of Connecticut, 670 Clinton Ave., Bridgeport, CT. 06605. Burial will be held privately in Arlington National Memorial Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
