Obituary of Beverly J. Sear

Beverly J. Whitfield Sear, age 76, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Robert Sear, died peacefully on Sunday November 30, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Los Angeles, California on November 16, 1938, she was a daughter of the late George and Minnie Pounder Whitfield. Beverly enjoyed painting, cooking and spending time with her family at their home in Vermont. But above all she enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will truly be missed by all. Beverly was predeceased by her daughter, Sherry Tolmich. In addition to her beloved husband of 54 years, Robert, survivors include two loving sons, Steven Sear of Johnstown, NY and Scott Sear of Wilton, son-in-law, Steven Tolmich of Norwalk, six cherished grandchildren, Juliette, Molly, Robin and Becky Sear and Ryan and Allyson Tolmich, a sister, Norah Collins of CA, as well as several nieces and nephews. At Beverly's request all funeral services were private. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Lung Association of CT, 45 Ash Lane, East Hartford, CT 06108.
