Obituary of Marie M. Baldino

Marie M. DeSalle Baldino, affectionately known as "Dolly", age 83, of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Rocco F. Baldino, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2014 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on April 25, 1931, she was a daughter of the late John and Ida Delvecchio DeSalle and had been a resident of Trumbull for 45 years before moving to Monroe. Marie was a retired employee of Warnaco, where she designed women's apparel. She had many hobbies and interests which included reading at the library, sewing, gardening, traveling, cooking and baking for her family and friends. But above all she was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She treasured the time spent with her children and grandchildren and the memory of Marie will continue to live on in their hearts. Survivors include two loving sons, Neil F. Baldino and his wife, Iris of Sandy Hook and Mark J. Baldino of South Carolina, three loving grandchildren, Cole, Tess and Mark John; a sister, Patricia Pagliarulo and brother-in-law, Patsy Pagliarulo of Trumbull, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Louise Stankiewicz and daughter-in-law, Mary Baldino. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery of Easton. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marie's memory to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
