To Irving's family: He touched the lives of others in heartfelt, generous and humorous ways.I am grateful for the fond remembrances of him from my childhood and 45 intervening years. He was our painter, carpenter, fix-it guy, but mostly, friend. My dad knew him well. I hope your loss is eased in knowing that my words are assuredly echoed by many others. May he rest in peace.
