Obituary of Helen Jersey

Helen Jersey, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Lewis E. Jersey, entered into eternal rest on August 16, 2014 at Maefair Healthcare Center, Trumbull. Helen was born in Trenton, New Jersey on August 8, 1926 to the late James and Helen Fairley. Helen was raised in Stratford, CT, where she graduated from Stratford High School. A homemaker, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. A Trumbull resident for the past 66 years, her interests included reading, the ethical treatment of animals and the preservation of nature. Helen was also a dedicated parishioner at Olivet Congregational Church in Bridgeport for many years. Survivors include, her daughter, Lynn Ceccarelli of Anderson, SC, two sons, Lewis Jersey and his wife Susan of Derby and Bruce Jersey of Hartland, VT; four grandchildren, Dennis Ceccarelli Jr., Brian Jersey, Kevin Jersey and his wife Caitlin and Matthew Jersey, a sister, Margaret Delgado, nieces, Jeane and Janice Delgado and a nephew, John Jersey. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Dennis Ceccarelli. The family would like to especially thank the staff at Maefair for the loving care provided to our mom in her last years. All funeral services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
