Obituary of Louis A. Ferrante

Oxford Resident Louis A. Ferrante, age 88, of Oxford and formerly of Bridgeport, died on Monday, March 26, 2007 at Griffin Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on August 17, 1918, he was a son of the late Albert and Frances Cerino Ferrante, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired employee of Alusuisse Services where he traveled throughout the world extensively. Louis was predeceased by his three brothers, Albert Sr., Gino and Anthony Ferrante. Survivors include his beloved wife of 42 years, Maria Ortiz Ferrante, his loving children, Glen Ferrante and his wife Robin of New York City, Carmen Ferrante- Otero and her husband Guillermo of Puerto Rico, Jed Ferrante and his wife Tamika of Oxford, Todd Ferrante and his wife Machavely of Waterbury, three sisters, Mary LaRiccia of Orange, Stella Bocchino and her husband Carmen of Huntington and Diane Parker of Ansonia, a sister in law Adeline Ferrante of Trumbull, six cherished grandchildren, Mariah, Julian, Ayden and Isiah Ferrante, Genesis Montalvo and Jefferey Donaldson and his wife Amanda, one adored great grandson Tyler Donaldson and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the hospice nurses especially Suzanne Scheib, Barbara Fagnani, Linda Kale, Gem Martone and Cyril Mulligan. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 30, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2160 Main Street Bridgeport, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
