Obituary of Jack Moramarco Sr.

Jack Moramarco Sr., age 88, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Jean Rosati Moramarco, passed away peacefully on Monday June 16, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born on April 20, 1926, in the Bronx, New York, he was a son of the late Nicola and Anna Guacci Moramarco. Before coming to Connecticut, Jack was employed as a wire lather and was proud to have worked on the World Trade Center and the United Nations Buildings. He retired from the Town of Trumbull Board of Education, where he was a roofer. He was also a member of the Marie S.S. Del Buocommino Society in North Bergen, NJ. But above all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren. In addition to his beloved wife of 47 years, Jean, survivors include two loving children, Nicole Tortora and her husband Ken of Monroe and Jack Moramarco Jr., and his wife Jennifer; five cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Alaina, Nicholas, Gianna and Sophia; two brothers, Dan Moramarco of New York and Michael Moramarco of California, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Marie Bellizzi and Rose Cucchiarella. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
