Obituary of Camille J. Epifano

Trumbull Resident Camille John Epifano, age 89, of Trumbull, died on Monday, October 18, 2010 in the Jewish Home for the Elderly. Born in Italy on January 5, 1921, he was a son of the late John and Grace Martino Epifano. A Navy Seabees veteran, he served in the South Pacific during World War II, and was a member of the 19th Construction Battalion. Mr. Epifano was a retired carpenter whose career began at the age of 14 and ended as a carpenter foreman with E&F Construction. He was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local 210. He was a generous and loving husband, father and brother and will be sadly missed. He was pre-deceased by his wife Rita Elvira Epifano and a daughter, Elvira Griffin. Survivors include a son John A. Epifano and his wife Joan Catherine of Trumbull, son-in-law, Kevin Griffin of Miami, FL, three brothers, John Epifano Jr. and James Epifano, both of Trumbull and Robert Epifano of Piscataway, NJ, four sisters, Anna Avallon of Monroe, Julia Altieri of Wylie, North Carolina and Mary DiNapoli and Grace Puskar, both of Trumbull, a sister-in-law Florence Montreys of Newtown and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Rosa, Luis and Laura for the dedicated and loving care they provided. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2010 for graveside committal services. There will be no calling hours.
