Obituary of Gladys Ferik

Ferik Gladys Jablonsky Ferik, age 79, of Trumbull, wife of the late John Ferik, died on Sunday, September 18, 2005 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Anne Schiller Jablonsky, and was a retired confidential secretary for Dresser Industries, Stratford. She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Trumbull and active in the Dorcas Guild, the Rock of Agers and the Church Altar Guild. Mrs Ferik also participated in several civic organizations in Trumbull. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by a brother, Robert Jablonsky.

Survivors include her beloved children, Robert and Alicia and Thomas and Ilene, all of Trumbull, her grandchildren, Ted and Abby, a sister, Joyce Roman of Trumbull, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her very dear friend, Fran Halpin. She will always be remembered for her devotion to her family and friends.

Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, with Rev. Emil Witschy officiating. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 -8 P.M. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
