Obituary of Filomena DiCocco
Loving and Caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother
Filomena DiCocco age 96, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Antonio DiCocco died peacefully on Saturday November 27, 2010 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Frosinone, Italy on July 20, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Pamela DiCocco. Filomena is survived by her seven loving children; Maria and her husband Lorenzo of France; Nicola and his late wife Rose of Trumbull, Sandina and her late husband Gerardo of France, Alex and his wife Ida of Stratford, Peter and his wife Pam of Trumbull, Teresa and her husband Tony of Easton and Jean and her husband Ken of Florida. She is also survived by her 18 beloved grandchildren: Romanina and Michel; Anthony and his wife Rose and Phyllis and her husband John; Claudine, Bridget, Marco and Patrick; Anna, Michael and his wife Dawn, and Diana; Dominic and his wife Cathy, Lisa and her husband Rick; Louise and her husband Jerry, Lori and her husband Peter and T.J.; Nicky and Kenny and his wife Jessica. In addition to her 18 grandchildren she is survived by 25 great-grandchildren and her brothers Lorenzo (and his late wife Rosalie) of Bridgeport and Paolo and his wife Filomena of Canada, as well as several nieces and nephews. Filomena loved to cook, garden and take her long walks to the market. Most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. We know God has her in his keeping and we have her in our hearts. The family extends their gratitude and appreciation to Cambridge Manor for the kindness and care she was given during her residence there. Funeral Information
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday December 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:30 a.m. in St. Margaret Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum of St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. Donations Information
