Obituary of Harry J. Argianas

Retired Bridgeport Firefighter Harry Argianas, age 81, of Trumbull, a retired Bridgeport firefighter with 27 years of service, entered into eternal rest at St. Vincent Medical Center on Friday, December 22, 2006. Born in Bridgeport on March 3, 1925, he was a son of the late Theodore and Dorothy Argianas and served in the U. S. Navy Veteran as a Signalman Second Class. A graduate of Harding School, he was an avid gardener and his greatest zest for life was spending time with his family. His greatest memories were those of his travels with his wife and summer vacations with his children and grandchildren. He was an Avid New York Mets and New York Giants fan. Those who knew Harry loved him. Survivors include his devoted, loving wife of 57 years, Bess Dervalich Argianas, two devoted children, Gary Argianas of Hamden and Maryann Brezosky and her husband, Mark of Shelton, his grandchildren, who loved their Pop Pop, Garett Argianas, Stephanie Argianas, Michael Sarni and Jason Harry Brezosky. In addition to his parents, he is pre-deceased by two brothers, Charles and George Argianas and five sisters, Beatrice Tremont, Ethel Hayes, Anna Foglia, Mary Pulos and Mildred Karavokis. Funeral Information Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton. Friends and relatives may call on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
