Obituary of Joseph Michael DeMasi

Lifelong Bridgeport Resident Joseph M. DeMasi, age 85, of Bridgeport, a retiree of Avco Lycoming with 35 years of service, died on Friday, October 10, 2008. Born in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late Frank and Agata Donofrio DeMasi, and was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. Mr DeMasi was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was predeceased by a brother, Anthony DeMasi and five sisters, Nicolina DeMasi, Rose Scala, Josephine Macisco, Susan Caggiano and Frances Farakos. Survivors include his devoted wife of 53 years, Phyllis Iossa DeMasi, two loving daughters, Judy Provenzano of Bridgeport and Diana Antczak and her husband Chester of Rhode Island, three cherished grandchildren, Lenny Provenzano III and Sarah Jo and Aaron Antczak, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Margarets Shrine Chapel, 2539 Park Ave, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 3-7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
