Obituary of Louis P. DeMartino
Resident of Trumbull
Louis P. DeMartino, age 91, of Trumbull, a retired plumber, died on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late Joseph and Giovannina Russo DeMartino, and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. DeMartino was a member of Local 777 CT Pipe and Trade Union, the Chestnut Hill Seniors and a founder and member of the American Legion Post at Middlebrook Farms. He was an avid NY Mets, NY Jets and UCONN Womens Basketball fans and also enjoyed woodworking and traveling. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Martha DeGruttola DeMartino, two sisters, Alice DeMartino and May Donnelly and four brothers, John, James, Marco and Anthony DeMartino. Survivors include two sons, Joseph DeMartino and his wife Roberta of South Glastonbury and Marco DeMartino and his wife Karen of Hudson, MA, a daughter, Barbara Lazarus and her husband Gary of Oxford, a sister Dolores Convertito of Trumbull, five grandchildren, Jason and Adam DeMartino, Bethany Aiardo and Daniel and David Lazarus, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff and his many friends at Middlebrook Farms of Trumbull. Funeral Information
Funeral services will take place on Friday, February 22, 2008 at 8 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Donations Information
