Obituary of Anthony R. DeLucia

Anthony Tony R. DeLucia Sr., age 77, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Jacqueline Giacchi DeLucia, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on March 20, 1937, he was a son of the late Ralph and Lena DiNatale DeLucia. A U.S. Army veteran, Tony was a self-employed carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Union Local 210. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will truly be missed. In addition to his wife of 53 years, Jackie, survivors include three sons, Dean DeLucia and Lorrie Lewis of Shelton, Anthony DeLucia Jr. and his wife Gina of Derby and Barry DeLucia and his wife Oanh of Cromwell, two sisters, Grace Pastorok and her husband George of Trumbull and June Matyjasik of Shelton, nine grandchildren, Michael, Danielle, Alyssa, Logan, Morgan, Evan, Joseph, Jeremy and Aaron. He is also survived by brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Denise and Bill Conway of Canada and Tom Giacchi of Oxford, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert DeLucia and a nephew, John Paul Matyjasik. Funeral Information A Memorial Mass celebrating his life will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patricks Church, 851 North Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours.
