Obituary of Catherine Decerbo

Catherine Pavone Decerbo, age 93, of Trumbull, died on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at her residence. Born in Bridgeport on August 19, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Rosario and Josephine Tosto Pavone. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a wonderful cook.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Louis A. Decerbo and a sister Jean Dattolo, who she was a devoted caregiver to.

Survivors include her devoted son Thomas Decerbo and his wife Ilona, three cherished grandchildren, Michael Decerbo and his wife Chia-Lin, Mark Decerbo and Alexis Decerbo, a adoring great granddaughter Veronica, two beloved nieces who she loved as her own, Janice Beers and Deborah Kulas as well as several great nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will take place on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m.
