Obituary of Samuel M. DeCarlo

Samuel (Sam) M. DeCarlo, age 95, of Stratford, a retired machinist for Wilcar Products, died on Thursday, April 22, 2004, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Danbury, he was a son of the late Michael and Rose Capabianco DeCarlo . He was a founder of the 1st District Improvement Club of Stratford and a member of the Mt. Carmel Society. He was the widower of Mary Rossi DeCarlo and was pre-deceased six brothers. Survivors include a son, Mike DeCarlo and his wife Janet of Trumbull, two daughters, Rose Anderson of Stratford and Therese Hart and her husband Richard of Northford, a sister, Rose Schiavone of Shelton, ten grandchildren, Raymond, Alan and Stuart Anderson, Michele Gates, Michael DeCarlo Jr, Richard DeCarlo, Lori Hart, Cynthia Dwyer, Mary Ellen Barrett and Jennifer Hart, eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will take place on Monday April 26, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday 3- 7 p.m.
