Nicola Feola

Obituary of Nicola Feola

Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather Nicola Feola, age 83, passed peacefully, encircled by God and all who loved him on October 1, 2010. His devoted wife of over 60 years, Raimonda, never left his side. Mr. Feola was born on February 12, 1927 in Flumeri, Italy, Providence of Avellino. Nicola could do anything; he worked construction in Germany and France, made wine from seed to bottle, and could even play the harmonica. However, at the heart, Nicola was a farmer, a man of the land; he owned and tended several acres in Tuscany, until he and his family set sail to America in December of 1969. But Nicola never left Italy; instead, he brought Italy to the states, turning his two-acre lot in Trumbull, CT into a vineyard, an apple farm, a cluster of agriculture. And although he worked until retirement at DuPont as a Machinist, his love was for the soil and for the seed. No one will ever forget his strength, his loyalty, and his booming laugh. Mr. Feola has left a legacy, and in addition to his beautiful wife, Raimonda, is survived by three daughters, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, eight siblings, and several nieces and nephews. Children: Maria and her husband Chris Nicholas; Nicolina and her husband Rocco Lungariello; and Gina and her husband Neil Potash. Grandchildren: Sabrina and her husband Aaron Strane; Debbie Lungariello; Gilda and her husband Brendan Gallagher; and Rocky Lungariello. Great Grandchildren: Jordan Gonzalez, Derek Strane, and Joseph Gallagher. Sisters: Maria Grazzia Guerriera; Jenny and her husband Pietro Silano; Maria and her husband Santo Lungariello; Arminia and her husband Frank Shoenwandt; and Giulia and her husband Fernando Palmieri. Brothers: Enrico Feola; Tony and his wife Sandy Feola; and Mario and his wife Carmela Feola, as well as several nieces and nephews.
