Obituary of Ann Kelley Adams
Loving Wife & Mother
Ann Kelley Adams (McGarvey), of Trumbull, wife of Joel Adams, died suddenly on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, surrounded by her loving and adoring family. Born in Hartford on November 9, 1952, she was one of five children of Edward McGarvey and the late Elizabeth McGarvey. A graduate of South Catholic High School and Central Connecticut State University, Kelley was employed by the Hartford Courant, Aetna Life and Casualty and most recently, Pitney Bowes, where she spent the last 12 years of her career. She was a dedicated and energetic employee who positively impacted many people over the years, bringing life, faith, friendship, and love wherever she was. As a devout Catholic her entire life, Kelley was a member of Saint Theresa Parish in Trumbull for over 20 years, where she, her husband, and their children were involved in altar serving, youth choir, Saint Theresa Youth Group and Catholic Youth Organization activities such as basketball. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, and especially enjoyed cooking and entertaining guests in her home. Kelley was an avid reader, enjoying many summer afternoons relaxing with a book in her hands, and she loved antiquing, a hobby that she shared with close friends and family. Additionally, she very much enjoyed spending time with her husband creating and maintaining their gardens and yard throughout the spring and summer months. Kelley was a most devoted wife and mother, and could just as likely be spotted welcoming her husband and children home for an evening meal as cheering on her kids and their friends at sporting events. Her greatest qualities were her unyielding kindness, persistent love, and the enormous heart which touched the lives of anyone who knew her. Kelley will be remembered as one of those truly beautiful people, inside and out, who, upon meeting her, you could not help but fall in love with. In addition to her beloved husband of 24 years, Kelleys life is celebrated and cherished by her three loving children, Charles McGarvey Adams, Bryce McGarvey Adams, and Conner Elizabeth Adams; by her father, Edward McGarvey; by her sister Mary Wisniowski and her husband, Wesley Wisniowski, and their two children, Jason McGarvey Wisniowski and Alexis McGarvey Wisniowski; by her twin brother, E. John McGarvey; by her sister Elizabeth Tylki and her husband Darius Tylki, and their three children, Daniele McGarvey Tylki, Max McGarvey Tylki, and Emily McGarvey Tylki; and by her aunt, Emily Leary, and her husband William Leary. She was predeceased by her late mother, Elizabeth McGarvey, and her brother Daniel McGarvey. Funeral Information
