Obituary of Michael D'Aulizio

Michael D'Aulizio, age 82, of Shelton, died Friday, October 7, 2005 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. Born in Italy, Mr. DAulizio came to Bridgeport as a teen, and was a life long area resident. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and survived the sinking of the troop carrier Leopoldville. Mr. D'Aulizio worked over 39 years with First National Stores, and was also employed with the Food Mart of Greenwich and worked as a bartender at the Marchegiana Society in Bridgeport. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 14000, American Legion Post 200, a charter member of the WWll Memorial Committee and a member of the Panther Veteran Organization 66th Division.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Martha Vozza D'Aulizio, a son, Nicholas D'Aulizio and a brother, Thomas D'Aulizio.

Survivors include a son, Michael D'Aulizio and his wife, Marlee of Shelton, his daughter in law, Nancy D'Aulizio of Beacon Falls, six grandchildren, Karalee, Stefanie, Lauren, Michael and his wife, Melissa, Patrick and Nicole, two great grandchildren, Britney and Nicholas and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at 9 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment with full military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation, through the funeral home.
