Obituary of William S. Gowans

Past Owner and Operator of B & G Counters William S. Gowans, age 67, of Trumbull, the past owner and operator of B & G Counters for over 30 years, died on Monday, October 22, 2007 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on June 6, 1940, he was a son of the late William C. and Bertha E. Miller Gowans. He was a Third Degree Member of the Fidelity Lodge A. F. and A. M. and a two time past Commodore of the Pequonnock Yacht Club. He enjoyed nature and was an avid boater and outdoorsman. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Evann (Eve) Castaldo Gowans and a son, Billie Gowans. Survivors include a daughter, Vicki Sicilian of Trumbull, a son, Christopher M. Gowans and his wife Mia of Trumbull, a brother, Richard Gowans of Easton, two sisters, Janet Lockwood of Trumbull and Susan Villano and her husband Pat of Messina, NY, five grandchildren, Nicholas and Mark Sicilian and Christopher, Lindsay and Javon Gowans as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
