Obituary of Wesley Cronk
Resident of Stratford Wesley (Mort) Cronk III, age 80, of Stratford, a retired professional engineer and surveyor, died on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in San Mateo, CA., on June 1, 1926, he was a son of the late Wesley M. Cronk II and Elizabeth Wolder Cronk, and was a WWll US Army Air Force Veteran. Wesley graduated from the University of Connecticut and served 25 years as Stratford Town Engineer. He was also formerly employed by Kasper Associates. Mr Cronk was an artist and enjoyed wood working, was an avid fisherman, and a member of the Baldwin Seniors Mens Club and Stratford Retirees. Mr Cronk volunteered at St. Johns Soup Kitchen, served as an Usher at Trinity Episcopal Church and tended the Church Memorial Garden. In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by his son, Wesley Cronk IV. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years Frances Miello Cronk, a brother Robert Cronk and his wife Sylvia of Stratford, a sister Margaret Weinheimer of Pequannock, NJ, three sisters-in-law, Phyllis Iannone of Orange, Margaret Nolan of Trumbull and Jennie Ruggiero of Bear, Delaware, and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
