Obituary of Ralph M. Costanza

U. S. Army Veteran of World War II Ralph M. Costanza, age 79, of Trumbull, a retired longshoreman at the New Haven Harbor Terminal, died on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on May 23, 1927, he was a son of the late Ralph and Mary Casoria Costanza and a Trumbull resident for 40 years. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Costanza was a graduate of Bassick High School and Ottawa University where he played football. He was an avid gardener and a member of the International Longshoremans Association, the V.F.W. Post #10059 and a past adjuctant of American Legion Post #141. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Cora P. Jamieson Costanza, a son, Ralph Costanza and his wife, Trisha of Colchester, VT, a daughter, Dorothy Guard of Oxford, four grandchildren, Katie Costanza, Lance Corporal David Guard, U.S.M.C., Alyssa Guard and Christopher Guard as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, December 8, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
