Obituary of Thomas M. Gordon

Resident of Trumbull GORDON- Thomas M. Gordon, age 74, of Trumbull, died on Friday, August 13, 2010 in Gardener Heights Health Care. A son of the late James P. and Mary Farrell Gordon, Tom was born and grew up in Brooklyn. He earned a bachelors degree from St. Johns University, after serving three years in the U. S. Navy. A Trumbull resident for the past 36 years, he worked for the Olin Corporation and retired from Xerox. Tom will be remembered as a person who always thought of everyone else first. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he was happy with the simple things in life, a God who loved him, a good meal, and a soft pillow for his head. He will be missed by many. Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Maureen Brady Gordon, two daughters, Denise Iannucci and her husband Robert of North Haven and Susan Dowd and her husband Joseph of Trumbull, four grandchildren, Brady and Katherine Dowd and Robert and Nicholas Iannucci. He is also survived by three brothers, Frank Gordon of Old Bridge, NJ, James Gordon of Nogales, AZ and Kevin Gordon of Hazlet, NJ. He was predeceased by two sisters, Kathleen Dalton and Margaret Savino. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Nichols Farm Cemetery, Trumbull.
