Obituary of Maria Corsale

Resident of Bridgeport Maria (Cervera) Corsale, age 74, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of 50 years of Gregorio Corsale entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 11, 2010 surrounded by her family. Maria was born on November 21, 1935 in Caiazzo, Province of Caserta in Italy, the eldest of three children born to Carmine and Angelina Tartaglia Cervera. She graduated from La Scuola di Taglio e Cucito in Caserta, Italy in 1955 with a degree in clothing design and worked in the garment industry. Maria moved to the United States with her husband in 1968 and settled in Connecticut where she continued to work in the garment industry. Maria shared a passion for gardening and was dedicated to her family and friends. In addition to her husband Gregorio, she is survived by two sons, Vincenzo Corsale and Mario Corsale and his wife Charisse Brown Corsale and her only grandson, Gregorio Corsale, all of Connecticut, her sister, Louisa Cervera and brother in-law Giovanni Mastrianno of Naples, Italy, her brother, Franco Cervera and her sister-in-law Giovanna along with several nieces and nephews, also of Caserta. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment services will take place in Caserta, Italy. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
