Obituary of Rose Cooper

Rose Charney Cooper, age 88, of Bridgeport, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on August 30, 1920, she was a daughter of the late George and Agnes Kanuch Charney. Rose was the Office Manager for Cooper Manufacturing and was formerly employed by Lenox Jewelers. Rose enjoyed time spent with her husband, especially the many fishing trips they went on and all the traveling they did together.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 61 years, Robert E. Cooper, two sisters, Elizabeth Wilson and her husband Herbert of Massachusetts and Florence Sherman of California, a brother-in-law James Cooper of Milford and several nieces and nephews. 

Friends are invited to meet directly in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford on Monday January 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum of the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours.
