Obituary of Jose Rene Gonzalez

Jose Rene Gonzalez, age 53, beloved husband of Donna Savard Gonzalez of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Gonzalez was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on April 26, 1959, son of Margaro and Virgen Vazquez Javier of Puerto Rico. Jose was a composite worker at Sikorsky Aircraft of Stratford for 15 years and most recently worked at Cablevision of Norwalk for over 15 years until his illness. He was an avid NY Mets and NY Giants fan and enjoyed salsa, jazz music, electronics, cars and martial arts. In addition to his wife Donna of 18 years and his parents, survivors include two brothers, Luis Javier of Puerto Rico, Eddie Javier of Stratford, a sister, Maritza Javier of Stratford, his father-in-law, Roland Savard of Trumbull as well as several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his son, Brian Daniel Gonzalez. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
