Obituary of Leonard Paul Cervone

Vietnam Veteran Leonard Paul Cervone, age 57, died on Friday, February 8, 2008 in Bridgeport Manor after a brief illness. Leonard Lenny was born on October 23, 1950 in Bridgeport, a son of Elizabeth Massaria Cervone of Monroe and the late Louis Cervone Sr. He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran serving during the Vietnam War where he received a National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Combat Action Ribbon. After his service in the military he was the lead vocalist and guitarist of the Underhill Band where he displayed his love and talent for music. He also worked in construction for many years. In addition to his mother, Lenny is survived by a son, Vincent and a daughter Shayla of Cape Coral Florida, his siblings, Josephine Doyle of Summerville, SC, Louis Cervone Jr. of Shelton, Michael Cervone Sr. of Bakersfield, CA, Rosalie Phillip of Fairmont West Virginia and Elizabeth Verruso of Manchester, VT. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 8:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe.
