Obituary of Dorothy Cedrone

Bridgeport Resident Cedrone Dorothy Cantarera Cedrone, age 89, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Louis E. Cedrone Sr., died on Sunday, August 24, 2008 at St. Joseph Manor, Trumbull. Born in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Concetta Marino Cantarera. Mrs. Cedrone was a member of the Trinacria M.A. Ladies Auxiliary, the University of Bridgeport Italian Graduate Scholarship Committee and the UNICO Ladies. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Daniel Cedrone, a granddaughter, Kim Chiaraluce and a brother, Louis Cantarera. Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Thibodeau and her husband Roger of Bridgeport, two sons, Louis Cedrone Jr. and his wife Jean of West Haven and Anthony Cedrone and his wife June of Seymour, a sister, Frances Tortorello of Bridgeport, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 9 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. Donations Information In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the University of Bridgeport Italian Graduate Scholarship Fund through the funeral director.
