Obituary of Eugene Cecere

Eugene J. (Gino) Cecere, age 88, of Stratford, a retiree of the Adley Express Co. and the Thrifty Rental Car Co. of New Haven, died on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on April 12, 1916, he was a son of the late Maurice and Raffaele Cecere. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Cecere was a member of Teamsters Local #191.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 63 years, Neris Guglielmoni Cecere, a son Richard Cecere and his wife, Susan of Shelton and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a son Ronald, two brothers, John and George Cecere and two sisters, Florence Cecere and Mary Malse.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 12:00 noon in St. James Church, Stratford for a reading of the Liturgy of the Word. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
