Obituary of Orlando Casagrande

Orlando V. Casagrande, age 80, of Southbury, a retired employee of Dow Corning, died on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at his residence. Born in Bridgeport on October 23, 1925, he was a son of the late Orlando and Elvira Ronchini Casagrande. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a life long Bridgeport resident before moving to Southbury ten years ago. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ruth Saad Casagrande, two daughters, Paula DAndrea and her husband, Ron of Watertown and Sandra Alfano and her husband, Frank of Middlebury, his twin brother, Marino Casagrande of Bridgeport, a sister, Lucy Mingolello of Bridgeport, six grandchildren, Marci Lean and her husband, John, Jared DAndrea and his wife, Shireen, Douglas DAndrea, Jason DAndrea, Louis Alfano and Alexander Alfano and many adoring nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Rudolph Casagrande. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, October 23, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 11 Washington Ave., Woodbury for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Woodbury Cemetery, Woodbury. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 6 pm.
