Obituary of Carmela Carrubba

Carmela (Nellie) Marino Carrubba, age 96, of Trumbull, died on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 in the Jewish Home for the Elderly, Fairfield. Born in Priolo, Sicily, Italy on February 27, 1909, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Concetta Lagni Marino. Mrs. Carrubba worked during World War II with her late husband, Paul Carrubba at Chance Vought. She was the president of Sylvan Crest Ladies Guild.

Survivors include a son, Philip Carrubba and his wife, Gilda and a daughter, Carol Linda Sementilli and her husband, Philip, all of Trumbull, eight grandchildren, Lisa Matson, Phil C. Carrubba, Duane Carrubba, Elizabeth Riotto and Vincent, Christopher, Paulette and Damon Sementilli, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 28, 2005 at 8:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-7 p.m.
