Obituary of Earl B. Capron

Trumbull Resident Earl B. Capron, age 97, of Trumbull, died peacefully at his residence on Sunday, November 12, 2006 surrounded by his family. Born in Bridgeport on November 19, 1908, he was a son of the late Isaac and Lillian Capron and was a retired purchasing agent for Sikorsky Aircraft. Earl had a great love and passion for music and along with his Dixieland Band they performed for President Ronald Reagan at the White House in 1981. He took great pride in his instrumental work for the revival of Dixieland music and the formation of the Connecticut Jazz Society. He had a great love for family and was an inspiration to all, and he will be sadly missed. He was pre-deceased by his first wife Lorraine Vallancourt Capron. Survivors include his beloved wife, Penny Keel Capron, four children, Earl (Skip) W. Capron and his wife, Anita of Hammond, LA., Michael Head and his wife, Ursula of Springboro, OH, Deborah Corwel and her husband, Michael of Oxford, Louise Keyser and her husband, Robert of Palm City, FL, a sister Virginia Dale Capron of Trumbull, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY in Nichols United Methodist Church, 35 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
