Obituary of Evelyn A. Altieri

Loving Mother Evelyn A. Altieri, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Evelyn was a loving mother who always put her children first. She was a daughter of the late George and Mary Potter Cowell of Stratford. Evelyn lived life to the fullest and enjoyed helping others. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Frederick J. Altieri. Together they owned and operated The Beardsley Pharmacy on Huntington Turnpike in Bridgeport for 40 years. Evelyn is survived by her three devoted children; Dendra J. Altieri and Johnna A. Plancon both of Stratford and Frederick J. Altieri II and his wife Sheila of NC. She also leaves behind a grandson Frederick J. Altieri III and his wife Susan of MA, two granddaughters, Stephanie and Nicole and a great granddaughter Persephone Jane Altieri. She is also survived by a sister, Constance Beckwith of ME and several nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her extended family; Sarah Bodenheimer, Julie Penry and Gina Curtin. The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice Care for their help and kindness to Evelyn during her final days on this earth. Funeral Information Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass celebrating her life on Monday, December 28, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church, 380 Long Hill Ave., Shelton.
