Obituary of Samuel R. Caiola

Bridgeport Resident CAIOLA- Samuel R. Caiola, Sr, age 95, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Phyllis DeLuca Caiola, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012 with his loving family by his side at St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on August 1, 1916, he was a son of the late Michael and Fortuna Caliano Caiola. Before his retirement, Mr. Caiola was a partner in the P & C Plumbing Company. He was an avid bowler and Yankee fan and enjoyed playing horseshoes and fishing with his grandsons. He loved to spend time with his family. Survivors include his son, Samuel Caiola, Jr. of Trumbull, a daughter, Marcia Dostilio and her husband Joe of Bridgeport, two sisters, Mary Tompkins of Hamden and Lucy Yanosy of Bridgeport, four grandchildren, Kimberly Wisniewski and her husband Gregg of Ansonia, Samuel Caiola, III and his wife Karen of Trumbull, Joseph Dostilio, III and his wife Malissia of Fairfield and Vincent Anthony Dostilio and his wife Susan of MA, eight great grandchildren, Deanna and Delaney Wisniewski, Emily Caiola, Nicholas and Christopher, Joseph, Dillon and Hope Dostilio and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased three brothers, John, Joseph, Anthony Caiola, two sisters, Sue Sherwood and Lousie Gulas and a daughter-in-law, Doreen Caiola. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in Our Lady of Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd., Fairfield on Wednesday, January 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
