Obituary of Stanley B. Zysk

Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather Stanley B. Zysk, age 84, of Bridgeport, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2010. Born on June 3, 1926 to the late Anthony and Veronica Zysk, Mr. Zysk was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, where he worked for the former Jenkins Valve Company for over forty years. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, his entire life was marked by selflessness, generosity, and a genuine concern for the well-being of all whom he met. He was a cornerstone of the Holy Ascension Armenian Church, where he served on the Parish Council and other committees. His service to his Church, Family, and community was recognized with a Man of the Year award in 1977. Mr. Zysk was predeceased by his beloved wife of fifty-two years, Eleanor Dushugian Zysk; his sister Helen (Zysk) Zaczkowski and her husband John, and brother Anthony Zysk. Mr. Zysk leaves behind two cherished sons and daughters-in-law: Brian and his wife Elaine of Monroe, and Craig and his wife Marylee of Shelton; four treasured grandchildren: Jason, Jennifer, Craig, and Zachary Zysk; a sister-in-law, Grace DeYoung of Florida; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road. Trumbull. A requiem liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Ascension Armenian Church, 1460 Huntington Turnpike, Trumbull, CT, with the Rev. Untzag Nalbandian presiding. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 21 from 4-8 p.m. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
