Obituary of Paul Edward Zmuda

Resident of Stratford Paul Edward Zmuda, age 66, of Stratford, passed away on January 15, 2012 at the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven with his family by his side. He was the husband of Dorothea Kostopoulos Zmuda to whom he had been married for 42 years. He was born in Fall River, MA on November 19, 1945, a son of the late Thaddeus S. Zmuda Sr., and Ruth E. Griffiths Zmuda, and was a 1963 graduate of B.M.C Durfee High School, Fall River, MA. He attended the Northeast Institute of Technology in Boston, MA and was later employed by the Bunker Ramo Corp. Recently he was Technical Director of Software Development at Siemans Enterprise Communications in Stratford for over 22 years. Paul was a loving and devoted husband and father. He cherished good times with family and friends, and enjoyed traveling, sailing, fishing and skiing. His kind heart and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Jessica Kirsten Zmuda. Survivors include a sister, Carol A. Graham and her husband Martin of Woodstock, CT, a brother, Thaddeus S. Zmuda, Jr. and his wife Manuela Morgado of Fall River, MA, three nieces, Erin Graham, Virginia Bradley, Elinor Bingham, a nephew, Martin Graham, and an uncle, Arkadus Zmuda of Fall River, MA. Funeral Information A celebration of his life will take place on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Putney Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
