Obituary of Charles J. Wills

Charles Jesse Wills III, age 66, of Monroe, CT was embraced by his Heavenly Father Wednesday October 20, 2010 at home surrounded by his family. He cherished his beloved wife of 45 years, Doris A. (Lagerfeldt) Wills, who had been sweethearts since the age of 15. They enjoyed ministering to others, traveling, listening to praise music and enjoying Gods creation together. Doris and Charles were committed to serving the Lord at Beacon Hill Evangelical Free Church in Monroe. Commonly endeared as Dear ol Dad (D.O.D.), he will be greatly missed for his gift of wisdom and fatherly protection. He is also survived by his six daughters, one son, one daughter-in-law, and three son-in-laws: Mary and Rusty Jessee, Nancy and Michael Kane, Emily Rivera, Charles J. Wills IV and Lilia Wills, Betsy and Kevin Hlavac, Jessie Wills, Jenny Wills and fiance Sgt. Nathan Starr. Grandpa, or GP, left a legacy to his 11 grandchildren: Sarah, Alex, Erin, Andrew, Ryan, and Daniel Kane; Keith and Katie Jessee; Elisha & Caleb Rivera; and Karlisse Wills. He was predeceased by his parents; Charles J. Wills Jr. and May Wills. In addition, he is also survived by his eight brothers and sisters; Elaine Beckler, Dennis Wills, Rene Wills, Fred Wills, Lucille Dowling, Evelyn Pagella, Marjorie Prendergast, and Hope Chonka. He belonged to the IBEW Local Union #488 and retired in 2007 from McPhee Electric as an Electrician. His servant heart was devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ, and his vision for revival and spiritual growth lives on in his family and friends. He truly enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, electronics, cooking, collecting antique books, reading, and yard work. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. directly in Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 498 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Friends and family may call on Monday, October 25, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
