Obituary of Ruth M. Wilder

Ruth M. Wilder, age 90, of Bridgeport, a retired special education teacher for the City of Bridgeport Board of Education, died on Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Born in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Johanna Fohrenbach. She was formerly an active member of the Greater Bridgeport Food Bank and a member of the Greater Bridgeport Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Wilder enjoyed hosting foreign exchange students for the University of Bridgeport.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Gordon Wilder and a sister, Louise Boutin.

Survivors include a daughter, Freda Lee Nason of New Bedford, MA, two step sons, Bartow Wilder and George Wilder of Vermont, her devoted grandson George Nason and his wife Lauren of Bridgeport, two great grandsons, Alexander and Logan, and nieces and nephews. 

Friends can greet the family at a Memorial Gathering on Sunday, September 7, 2008 from 12-3 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
