Obituary of Helen M. Wargo

Helen M. Wargo, age 99, of Bridgeport, a retiree of Remington Arms Co., died on Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Born in Stratford, Helen was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Koch Krafchik, and would have celebrated her 100th birthday on March 5th. She will fondly be remembered by her family as a dedicated caregiver and avid fan of the NY Mets.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Stephen Wargo, her nephew, Nick Krafchik whom she cherished like a son, and four brothers, Michael, Peter, George and Nicholas.

Survivors include her niece, Audrey Gallucci of Fairfield, her nephew, Richard Krafcik of Hamden, a sister-in-law, Nancy Krafcik of Colorado and many additional nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She will be especially missed by her great nephew and caretaker Marc Anthony Gallucci. 

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
