Obituary of Loretta C. Walser

Resident of Monroe Loretta (Cassidy) Walser, of Monroe, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 1, 1942 in Bridgeport, CT she was the beloved wife of 38 years to the late Carl D. Walser and daughter of Philomena Cassidy and the late Stephen P. Cassidy, Sr. Loretta held many different jobs in her life but the three that she loved the most were; mother, grandmother and friend. She will always be remembered for her generosity and her devotion to and love of her family. Survivors include her brother Robert Cassidy, Sr. and his wife Mary Jane of Monroe, NC; her children Susan Walser of New York City, William Walser and his wife Kimberly of Duxbury, MA, Karen Cantillo of Monroe, David Walser and his wife Carole of Ansonia, Paul Walser and his wife Brenda of Monroe, Mark Walser and his wife Nicole of Shelton, and Linda Walser of Newport, RI; her grandchildren Katherine, Jonathan, Kara, Tyler, Jack and Chase; she is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Walser Haynes of Stratford, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends who loved her. She was predeceased by her brother Stephen P. Cassidy, Jr. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday September 29, 2010 at 9 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown.
