Obituary of Pauline M. Verrilli

Pauline Cacciola Verrilli, age 81, of Bridgeport, loving wife of the late Joseph E. Verrilli died peacefully on Thursday June 2, 2011 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly. Born in Bridgeport on November 6, 1929 she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Antonina Romeo Cacciola. Mrs. Verrilli was a retired employee of Filenes Department Store and also formerly worked for Connecticut National Bank, City Trust Bank and LeDonnes Music Box. In her early years she enjoyed singing and dancing. Along with her husband, together they would enjoy watching the New York Yankee games on television. But above all she loved her family. Pauline took great pride in time spent with her children and grandchildren and was affectionately known as G.G. by her great granddaughter. She will truly be missed.

Survivors include two devoted children, a son, Joseph Verrilli and his wife Carolyn of Shelton, a daughter, Donna Humphries and her husband Dale of Ansonia, four cherished grandchildren, Leah and Alyssa Verrilli, Joseph Humphries and his wife Tanya and Dale C. Humphries and his fiancee, Eva Udobina, an adored great granddaughter, Sophia; two sisters, Sally Norman of Fairfield and Rose Cacciola of Bridgeport as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Pat Cacciola. 

Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call Sunday from 2-6 pm.
