Obituary of Carol Ann Vecchione

Resident of Stratford Carol Ann Wilson Vecchione, age 71, of Stratford, beloved wife of Sebastian Vecchione, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 15, 2009 in her Stratford home surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 7, 1938 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of Frances Butera Wilson of Fairfield and the late Bridgeport police officer George Wilson Sr. Carol was a graduate of Central High School in Bridgeport, and worked at Bridgeport Brass for a short while before resuming her role as a homemaker. Carol was a loving wife, mother and friend to all. She was pre-deceased by her beloved son Mark Vecchione, a brother Gary Wilson and a sister Emily Corazzelli. In addition to her mother and husband, Sebastian, she is survived by three loving daughters, Paula Edwards and her husband Lenny, Lisa Vecchione and Noreen Vecchione, eight cherished and beloved grandchildren, Paul Vecchione, Brittany Jones, Tori Edwards, Alannah Borucki, Carol and Marc Rigoli and Melissa and Ashley Riahi. She is also survived by two brothers Tom and George Wilson and a sister Nancy Bragulat, a sister-in-law Dolores Vecchione and her husband Larry, niece Terilyn Calandro and her husband Joseph and their daughter Alyse Calandro. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, 851 North Ave., Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 4-8 p.m.
