Obituary of Maureen B. Vazquez

Maureen Burke Vazquez, age 67, beloved wife of Joseph Vazquez of Trumbull, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014 after a long battle with dementia at Gardner Heights of Shelton. Born in Stamford on June 29, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Lucille Kallaway Burke. Before her retirement, Mrs. Vazquez was an accounting manager with Pitney Bowes Credit Corp. for over 25 years. Maureen enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking and baking. She cherished the time she spent with her granddaughters. In addition to her husband Joseph of 46 years, survivors include a son, Brian Vazquez of Norwalk, a daughter, Robin Ryan and her husband Daniel of Trumbull, two sisters, Diane Burke Grandison of Norwalk, Patricia Burke Fasolino and her husband William of Rye Brook, NY and two granddaughters, Caroline and Lauren Ryan as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Stamford. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
