Obituary of Marilyn A. Urbanowicz

Resident of Trumbull Marilyn Tice Urbanowicz, age 70, of Trumbull, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at St. Vincents Medical Center after a 16 month battle with breast and lung cancer. Her continuous struggle was fought with courage, dignity and unwavering grace. A Trumbull resident since 1959, Marilyn was born in Derby, Connecticut to the late Norman and Marguerite Keeley Tice. Marilyn graduated from St. Marys High School in New Haven and attended the University of Connecticut and the University of Bridgeport prior to graduating from the St. Vincents Licensed Practical Nursing Program. During her nursing career, Marilyn provided compassionate and dedicated service to those in need at St. Vincents and 3030 Park Nursing Home and several other facilities. Marilyn had a deep commitment to the UConn Womens Basketball Program and prior to her illness was a regular attendee at the games. She was also an avid bingo player and enjoyed these sessions with many close friends. Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Thomas and four daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Jeff Bevino of Milford, Donna and Mike Melisi of Trumbull, Kathy and Walt Reiser of West Long Branch, NJ and Lisa Urbanowicz and George Salanto of Milford. She is also survived by her most precious and loving grandchildren, Emily and Allie Reiser, Fallon and Michael Bevino and Nicolina and Talia Salanto who never failed to bring eternal joy and sparkle to their grandmothers eyes. Additional survivors include her brother, Norman Tice of Orange and nieces and nephews residing in Kentucky, Massachusetts and Fairfield County. She also leaves behind her beloved brother-in-law, Robert Urbanowicz of Trumbull. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
