Obituary of Dominic M. Torreso

Resident of Stratford Dominic M. Torreso, age 88, of Stratford, a retired driver for the Silliman Co., died on Monday, September 17, 2007 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on September 1, 1919, he was a son of the late Saverio and Amelia Torreso and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years, Perina Mirto Torreso, devoted son, Samuel Torreso and his wife, Pat of Stratford, two brothers Carmen Torreso of Stratford and Michael Torreso of Florida, three cherished grandchildren, Tracey Zack and her husband Bill, Scott Torreso and his wife Alison and Jeffrey Torreso and his wife Ginny, seven great grandchildren, Kylie, Julia, Kristin, Anthony, Gwen, Sophia and Samantha as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
