Obituary of Mildred P. Gevurtz

Resident of Bridgeport Mildred Puglio Gevurtz, age 87, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Harold A. Gevurtz, died on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on August 11, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Lena DeZutti Puglio. Mrs. Gevurtz was a former member and officer of the Italian Community Center Ladies Auxiliary, the University of Bridgeport Italian Graduate Scholarship Committee, the UNICO Ladies and the Council of the Italian American Societies. She is survived by a special cousin, Robert Bonazzo, two goddaughters, Annette Dobbs and Audrey Corchard and many additional cousins. Funeral Information Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:30 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Committal will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday morning from 9:30-11:00 a.m.
