Obituary of Jeanne Thanassi

Shelton Resident Jeanne Hickey Thanassi, age 73, died on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at her residence surrounded by her family. Born in New York City on November 9, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Gross Hickey. She was a long time Shelton resident before recently moving to Wallingford. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Jeanne was the heart, soul and strength of her family. Survivors include her beloved husband of 48 years, Angelo Thanassi, three loving children, Jane Thanassi of Wallingford, Christine Rello and her husband Philip and Andrew Thanassi and his wife Linda all of Shelton, her sister and best friend, Dolores David of New York, six cherished, grandchildren, Ryan and Olivia Thanassi, Kacy and Dominick Rello and Kelsey and Jaime Loomis as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Memorial Gathering celebrating her life will take place on Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 11:00 am until 1:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. A prayer service will take place at 12:45 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home.
