Obituary of Lucy Tedesco

Resident of Stratford Lucy (Lubelle) Russo Tedesco, age 87, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2009 in Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on October 12, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Carlo and Benevenuta Bonavita Russo. A resident of Stratford for 72 years, Lucys door was always open welcoming everyone into her cozy home with her hospitality and warmth. She was a loving devoted, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was always optimistic and positive. Lucy appreciated the simple pleasures of life and will forever be remembered for having a kind heart and a great spirit. Lucy had friends of all ages and especially enjoyed time with her family and visiting Cape Cod. Lucy was one of a kind. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was pre-deceased by her husband Christopher (Christie) Tedesco, a brother Anthony Russo and three sisters Violet Russo, Millie Garofalo and Helen Armino. Survivors include her son Tom Tedesco and his wife Susan of Orange, two daughters Maria Walsh and Kristine Tedesco, both of Stratford, four grandchildren, Kevin and Ryan Walsh and Taylor and Christopher Tedesco, two great grandchildren Annabella and Keagan Walsh as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
