Obituary of Natalie Tavella

Natalie (Nellie) Bevilacqua Tavella, age 94, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Frank (Sam) Tavella, died on Monday, November 28, 2011 in Ludlowe Health Care. Born in Stratford on May 1, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Giovanna Bevilacqua. Mrs. Tavella lived in Bridgeport and Trumbull for many years before moving to Shelton. She retired from Remington Rand. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by two sisters, Rose Carletti and Palmina Diotalevi and two brothers, Americo and Peter Bevilacqua. Survivors include her son, Anthony Tavella and his wife Patty, her daughter, Joanne Squezello and her husband Jim of Shelton, her grandchildren, Patrick and Julie Tavella of South Carolina, Dea and Joe Hopkins of Milford and Justin and Vanessa Squezello of Manhattan, her great grandchildren, Hannah and Josh Tavella and Riley Hopkins. She is also survived by her favorite nephews, Eugene Diotalevi of Stratford and Frank Bevilacqua of Guilford and many nieces and nephews and honorary great grandson, Dylan Antignani. We would like to thank all the staff at the Ludlowe Health Care for the care given to our mother. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. As per our mothers wishes, there will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
