Obituary of John Tavella

Former Trumbull Resident John Tavella, age 93, formerly of Trumbull, a retiree of the Bridgeport Brass Co., died on Friday, May 18, 2007 at Mid State Medical Center, Meriden. Born in Freeport, Long Island on October 20, 1913, Mr Tavella was a Trumbull resident for many years before moving to Plantsville. He was predeceased by three brothers Frank, Philip and Anthony Tavella. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Georgiana Assenza Tavella, a son, John J. Tavella and his wife Nadia of Trumbull, a daughter, Rosemay Bieler and her husband Bruce of Plantsville, a brother, Rocco Tavella of Danbury, two sisters, Agnes Lazor of Monroe and Anne Gallo of Trumbull, three grandchildren, John D. Tavella, Jeffrey Bieler and his wife Chrissy and Alyson Bieler, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 9 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10 am in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 5 p.m.
